Squint Test

Format: Squint at an interface until it becomes blurry.

While blurry, answer:

• Can you tell where the primary action is?
• Can you distinguish navigation from content?
• Is the visual hierarchy clear?
• Is the most important element the most prominent?

Principle: If a design is still clear when blurry, its visual hierarchy is correct.
