Micro-Interaction Diary

Format: During a normal day of using your phone/computer, record every micro-interaction.

Four Elements of Micro-Interactions (Dan Saffer's framework):

• Trigger: What initiates it (tap, swipe, time)
• Rules: What happens
• Feedback: What you see/hear/feel (animation, sound, vibration)
• Loops/Modes: Does it change over time

Examples to Look For:

• Instagram's heart animation when liking
• iMessage's "typing..." indicator
• Pull-to-refresh animation
• Upload progress bar
• Toggle switch click animation
• Stripe's payment form auto-formatting credit card numbers

Goal: Collect at least 15 examples. For each, record: What's the trigger? What's the feedback? How does it feel? Could it be improved?
