Format: Write a marketing email, practicing subject lines and CTAs.

Subject Line Principles:

  • Personalized subject lines have 2x higher open rates than non-personalized (35% vs 16%)
  • Keep it short (<50 characters)
  • Create urgency or curiosity
  • Avoid spam trigger words ("free," "limited time," ALL CAPS)

Exercise: Write subject lines and email body copy for the following scenarios:

  1. New user welcome email
  2. Feature launch notification
  3. 7-day trial expiring soon
  4. Churned user win-back
